- Height: 10-40 cm. Plant pubescent.

- Stems prostrate, diffuse or ascending, branched.

- Lower leaves opposite, later alternate. Leaves ovate, broad, coarsely dentate, cordate at base, sparsely hairy, short-stalked.

- Flowers sky-blue, lower petals often white, large 9-14 mm in diameter, in leaf axils, on pedicels 1-3 times longer than the leaf, with crisped hairs.

- Fruits flattened, pubescent-reticulate, 7 mm broad, sharply keeled. 4-8 seeds in each cell.

- Biological type: annual.
