- Height: 5-15 cm. Plant pubescent, glandular, reddish, with a stout stock.

- Stem erect, simple or branched.

- Lower leaves in rosette and spatulate. Later leaves alternate, glabrous, scattered, linear, cylindric, 10-15 mm long, sessile, spreading-erect. Leaves dying at flowering.

- Flowers white-pinky, sessile, on a single side in pubescent-glandular cyme ; 5 sepals ovate -deltoid; 5 petals lanceolate, aristate, 3 times longer than the calyx ; 5 stamens.

- Fruit 5-carpelled, opened like a cup, tuberculate, grainy.

- Biological type: annual.
