- Stem fluted stiff green erect and simple.

- Leaves petiolate, alternate, ovate, angular, base cordate, hard in margin, finely dentate, with smooth and visible veins. Lamina x2 length of petiole.

- Flower yellowish arranged in axillary bundles (5-6). Trumpet shaped , attractive to insects.

- Fruits big ovoid and pendent pyriform. Capsules fleshy and smooth.

- Plant with high odour. Toxic plant cultivated as a medicinal plant, used against gout and rheumatism. Its roots have oleaginous property.
